Educate yourself

Herman Martinus recently wrote a blog post about teaching tax in school.

Tax is something everyone should be knowledgeable about, agreed. It should be part of the school curriculum.

But not only tax. There are quite a lot of topics schools should cover.

The problem is that schools can only teach you so much.

So don't depend on schools to teach you everything. Do it on your own. Educate yourself on topics that impact your day-to-day life.

Be it taxes, health, finances, laws, or whatever.

We have access to books. We have access to the Internet. We have access to unbelievable amounts of information. Use it.
