Great Work. Now Delete Half of It.

"Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off." - Coco Chanel

"If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter." - Blaise Pascal

Both quotes talk about doing too much. With creative work, we tend to overdo it. We are in the flow, have ideas or the complete opposite. We can't get it right on the first try.

It doesn't matter if it's clothing or writing. Work on a blog post or coding a complex program. It's very likely that by taking another look at your work, you'll find something you can remove.

When doing so, you see your work from a new perspective. With more knowledge or a less busy mind. Then, finding better solutions or discovering parts that don't need to be there.

A text doesn't have to take countless paragraphs to get the point across. A shirt, a good pair of jeans, and some decent shoes make a great outfit. Less is more and more is more.
